Notes:
These are the steps a teacher should take in preparation for the Sunday morning session. I ask my teachers to stick close to the curriculum for the first four steps, thus providing a consistent, comprehensive, balanced approach to Bible study throughout the school.
In considering Pupil Needs (5), the teacher’s guide typically suggests general adult needs, but the teacher must be the expert on the specific needs of her own class. How does the Bible truth being considered impact the individual lives of my pupils?
At this point, all the skill of the experienced teacher comes into play as he prayerfully considers first a written Teaching Aim (6) which summarizes the objective of applying the specific Bible truth to impact the life needs of the pupils.
The last step in planning is to select the Teaching/Learning Methods which will be used in the context of the Sunday morning session schedule to accomplish the Teaching Aim.
