The Teacher’s Quarterly
Notes:
Every Southern Baptist periodical (with a few exceptions because of size) contains the plan of salvation, typically inside the front cover.
The editor’s name is on the banner page of the quarterly. This person is the one to contact with your suggestions for improvement; the editorial board is much interested in your comments.
The quarterly contains the scripture basis for the lesson, background information for the teacher’s private study, suggested life needs of children, and a suggested teaching aim. You should modify the teaching aim to fit the specific needs of your own pupils. The suggested teaching plan includes a schedule of activities, resources required, and guidance for the teacher in planning a lesson to meet the needs of the individual children in the class.
Don’t overlook the general articles, typically in the center of the quarterly. These include extremely helpful material about such topics as outreach, ministry, age-group characteristics, and your own spiritual development.
