Notes:
Organization of a Sunday School has been defined as getting in the best possible position for God to use us. The purpose of the church is given clearly by Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20. The Sunday School organization attempts to break down that task into bite-sized pieces and mobilize our Sunday School team to accomplish the task.
The reason our organization is as it is remains “to meet people’s needs.” We can best meet social, outreach, evangelism, and teaching needs by providing a place for every age group with teachers equipped to deal specifically with the developmental needs of that age. Groups are designed to be small enough for real personal interaction and to facilitate development of relationships and conducting of ministry.
The Bible is our textbook and is central to our teaching. We do not teach current topics, although we might use them to illustrate Biblical truth. God has promised to bless the teaching of His word, not our opinions or experiences. The foundation of all we do is the Bible.
