Welcome, Fourth Graders, to your very own blog (blog = web log), where we can talk about what's happening in Fourth Grade Sunday School. I will try to add several posts each week about what's coming up, and you can ask questions or comment on any post you would like. Just put your name and comment in the form after the posting you want, and click on "Post." That's it!

If you have questions or problems, please send me email at tjcook@earthlink.net. If you have a comment you would like to add to the blog and have problems using this page, just email it to me and I will add it for you. Please use and enjoy this page...it's just for you!

Welcome, New Fourth Graders!

We’re all set to welcome our new class of Fourth Graders to a great new year of fun and learning. We’ll all be wearing our “Jesus Brightens My Day” nametags the first few Sundays so we can get to know one another. Look for your name by the door to our room, 4017, as well as the “Fourth Grade” sign.

We will be studying all about the Bible itself in the month of September…how to respect it, read it, learn it, and obey it. After all, the Bible is the Word of God…His special letter to us telling us that He loves us, wants the best for us, and telling us how to live to get the best out of our lives. When we read, learn, and obey the Bible, we will have the best lives possible. I like to think of it as an “instruction manual” for living.

See you Sunday at 9:45!

This Sunday we'll be creating a class display on "How We Got Our Bible" with pictures of early Bibles, the tools used by monks who copied manuscripts, and the events which brought us our modern English translations. Come and join in the fun!
