Thank you, boys and girls, for being in our class this past Sunday. It was great to meet each of you. We’re looking forward to a terrific year as we learn about the Bible together.
We hope you had fun with our “treasure hunt” and as we learned about how the Bible is a “treasure,” the “Word of God,” and will last “forever.” We heard how King Josiah respected the Bible and promised to follow God’s rules, just as we can today.
We expect more kids will be there next week, now that Labor Day is over.
Our subject will be “Read the Bible,” and we will learn how the Priest Ezra did just that—and how the people responded. We will put on a drama to help us learn what happened…I just hope you don’t get too dizzy!
Hope to see you there Sunday—and please remember to bring your Bibles (almost everyone brought their own Bible last week—you did a great job!).

Here are some interesting internet links to good information about how we got the Bible. These are some of the sites I have used to prepare this lesson.
