Living the Jesus Way

Next Sunday starts October, and we’ll be starting a brand new unit about Living Like Jesus. One of the main reasons Jesus came to live on earth was to model for us how we can live in the way God wants us to live. Jesus said that if we look at Him and see His deeds and actions, we are looking at God.

We will be studying this Sunday about LOVE—no, not the ooey-gooey kind of love that you might see on TV or videos, but the extra-special God-style love, called “agape” in the Bible…the kind of love that John 3:16 talks about when it says “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.”

It’s a kind of love that we can show to others only because God helps us to do that. In fact, our memory verse is “We love because He first loved us.”

We will learn the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman whom He met at a well. No one else in her town loved her, or even liked her…but Jesus did. He took time to speak to her, listen to her, and told her that He could give her “Living Water.” Come join us Sunday to hear the rest of the story…and bring a friend!
