Care Like Jesus

We had a good time with Jesus’ story of the Good Samaritan yesterday—thank you for being with us. Taking care of our neighbor means more than just helping them when they might be sick. Talking about taking care of pets helped us understand some of the different ways we could take care of others—really it’s just helping out with whatever needs people might have. Sometimes it’s when they are sick, hungry, or thirsty, but sometimes it’s just when they need a friend or someone to talk to or listen to. And one of the best ways we can care for others is to invite them to come to Sunday School with us and learn about Jesus!

I hope you enjoyed meeting Sunday School Charlie yesterday. There’s more to his story that we can share. Please let me know if you like him…he and his friends can help us learn how to live like Jesus. It is a good story for this month’s Bible studies.

Don’t forget that next Sunday Miss Julie will bring her “goodie box” around to share with you if you can tell her some of the things we have been studying so far this year. You can tell her about learning how Jesus loved others from the story of the woman a the well, and about how Jesus wants us to care for others like the Good Samaritan did. One good thing to share would be the Golden Rule…”treat others as you want them to treat you.”
