Living Like Jesus
Why do we want to live like Jesus? Think about it…it’s important to understand the reasons why.
- Jesus is God’s Son—really, that means He is God. He lived a perfect life…the kind of life that God intends for everyone to live. Each of us sins: we make wrong choices and want to do “our own thing,” but Jesus never did anything but what God wanted Him to do. He showed us how terrific life could really be.
- Jesus loves us. He wants what’s best for us, and He knows that if we live like Him, we will have the very best kind of life and get everything out of our lives that God intends for us to have.
- God has a plan for our lives…a plan which will glorify Him and give us meaning and direction. Jesus showed us how to find and follow God’s special plan for our lives by depending on God to guide and direct His life. He said “I only do the things the Father tells Me to do.” Living like Jesus is living in God’s plan.
Next Sunday we’ll learn about serving others, by studying how Jesus served His disciples in a special way.
See you then! And bring a friend.
