We hope each of you had a terrific Christmas celebration, as we remembered how Jesus came as a baby to begin His life to show us how God wants us to live and to be our Savior—saving us from death, the penalty of sin.
Next Sunday is the last Sunday of 2006, and we will complete the Christmas lessons by learning about the Magi, or “Wise Men,” who came to worship the child born King of the Jews—Jesus! We will take a look (and sniff!) of the gifts they brought to Jesus, and discuss what the gold, frankincense, and myrrh really meant.
We will be using one of my favorite interactive computer games, Star Seekers, to follow the adventures of three kids who are children of the Magi. It’s an imaginary story, but it contains the real story of how the Magi found and worshiped the baby Jesus. We need your help to “drive” the computer!
We hope you can join us Sunday—but even if you can’t, we wish you a very joyous new year of 2007!
Tom and Sydney Cook
