[home/SS2006]
As we discussed last week, the number 2007 A. D. for our year means that it is the Year of our Lord (Latin: Anno Domini) 2007, or 2007 years since Jesus was born in Bethlehem. [It does not mean “After Death” as some think.]
In this new Year of our Lord, we will begin by learning about the church. When did it start? What does it mean? What does it do? What is it for?
This Sunday we’ll take a look at the birthday of the church, at Pentecost, when God sent the Holy Spirit that Jesus had promised to the believers in Jesus. Some amazing things happened, and some wonderful things resulted.
We will also look at what the believers in the early church did, and how children today in our class are doing the very same things.
See you there! (…and, of course, don’t forget to bring a friend.)
