The Greatest Gift

As we begin the Christmas season, our Sunday School sessions will focus on the gift that God has given us…the gift of His only Son, Jesus! (Remember John 3:16, which tells us why God gave us this very special gift.)

This Sunday we will begin 700 years before Jesus was born, as God continued to prepare the world to be ready to receive His gift—this time through the prophets Isaiah and Micah.

There are over 300 prophecies about Jesus in the Old Testament, and we will learn about just a few of them this week. God really wanted us to know that Jesus was the Messiah, the Savior, who would come to save people from their sins.

Let’s all try very hard to keep thinking about Jesus this Christmas season. Sometimes it’s hard, with all the other things that we see and hear and do, but Jesus is what it’s all about.

We will have our Christmas party on December 16, so that would be a great time to invite a friend to come to celebrate with you!
