Because God can do anything, and because He loves us, we can trust Him to do what’s best for us (although it might not seem that way at the time). This Sunday we will look at part of the life of the Prophet Elijah, who had some great experiences where God used His power through Elijah to peform mighty miracles. But just after Elijah’s great victory over the prophets of Ba’al on Mt Carmel, evil Queen Jezebel vowed to kill Elijah. Elijah ran away and hid, really pouting because he thought he was the only one who trusted God.
We’ll learn Sunday about how God continued to take care of Elijah in a mighty way, spoke kind words of encouragement to him, and continued to use him to do God’s work.
In the same way, we can trust God to care for, comfort, and encourage us…and also to use us to do the same things for other people in God’s name.
We’ll be using an interactive CD game for this Sunday’s lesson. Come join us with a friend…and get there five minutes early to watch “Are You Smarter than a Kids’ Sunday School Class?
