Adam and Eve’s Choice

God made a perfect garden for Adam and Eve to live in, with just one rule…don’t eat from the tree in the center of the garden. Eve, then Adam, both chose to disobey God. Bad idea. Choices always have consequences, and their consequence was to have to leave the garden. But, even more, the entire creation was affected by their choice…death, violence, hatred, and even physical disasters resulted because of their sin.

Next Sunday we will talk about how our choices have consequences today as well, and how our choices affect other people and things around us. God will help us as we try to make good choices.

Please invite your friends to Sunday School! We’d love to meet them.

In the Beginning

We are starting a new year in Sunday School by starting a historical survey of the entire Bible. We will go through the Bible just as events actually happened, and keep a time line on our wall so we can easily see how all the stories we know fit together.

On our first Sunday with our new class, we will learn about the very first thing in the Bible…the Creation. God made everything—from nothing—and declared that it was very good.

We will be welcoming our new fourth graders into our class and getting to know one another. Come join us!
