Unit Thrust
Beginning the final quarter of this school year, we look at the importance of prayer in the life of a Christian. Beginning with the Model Prayer as taught by Jesus, we will also look at how the early believers prayed for Peter in prison. We will then turn to two Old Testament examples of effective prayer, in the lives of Elijah and Hannah.

June 6: The Model Prayer

	Scripture: Matthew 6:5-13
	Memory Verse: You should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, Your name be honored as holy. -- Matthew 6:9
	Life Application: I can learn to pray as Jesus wants me to pray.

June 13: Pray for Others

	Scripture: Acts 12:5-19
	Memory Verse: Pray for one another. -- James 5:16
	Life Application: I can pray for others.

June 20: God Answers Prayer

	Scripture: 1 Kings 18:1-39
	Memory Verse: I call on you, God, because You will answer me. -- Psalm 17:6
	Life Application: I can pray knowing God will answer.

June 27: Pray and Ask God

	Scripture: 1 Samuel 1:1-20
	Memory Verse: The Lord will hear when I call to Him. -- Psalm 4:3
	Life Application: I can pray and ask God for things.
